Solemn mass with the School, Celebrating St. Mary of the Cross Mackillop

The community of St Luke’s Parish Lalor is invited to gather with our school children for a special Mass in commemoration of Saint Mary MacKillop. As we reflect on her profound faith, her commitment to God’s will, and her tireless service to those in need, may we be strengthened in our own discipleship.

St. Mary MacKillop (born January 15, 1842, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia—died August 8, 1909, North Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; canonized October 17, 2010; was a religious figure, educator, and social reformer who was the first Australian beatified by the Roman Catholic Church and the first Australian to be recognized as one of its saints.
